Angie Kimbel

Angie Kimbel began her journey on the path of yoga in 2003 when she took her first class with owner Charlotte Ranz. Angie found the yoga community there to be safe and welcoming. After a number of years of study with Charlotte, she was invited to begin her apprenticeship at the studio and begin teaching. In 2008, Angie completed her yoga teacher training and received her teaching certificate from the North Carolina School of Yoga in Raleigh, NC. She is accredited through the Yoga Alliance as an RYT200 registered teacher.

Angie has been involved in service to her yoga community through outreach projects like the 2008 Yoga Aid Challenge and the 2008 & 2009 seasons for Yoga in the Park - Fuquay Way. She continues her yoga education by attending workshops at Red Elephant Yoga on the back, the chakras, and restorative yoga. In 2009, she attended the "Exploring Energy, Stability, and Ease" workshop with Monica Voss of the Esther Myers Studio.  She has a new interest in energy work, having completed and has training on Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). She teaches introductory EFT workshops at the studio.

Angie is teaching in gratitude to her teacher and mentor, Charlotte, and hopes to add value to students' lives by helping them explore the miracle of their bodies. "Yoga promotes an attitude of mindfulness, stillness, and balance, she says. " It provides a place in our busy lives where we can connect to a deeper part of ourselves."

“Angie is a very caring, gentle instructor,” says Charlotte Ranz, owner of Red Elephant Yoga. “You can feel safe and secure with her gentle guidance. I invite you to join her for a wonderful class filled with relaxation, safe stretching and total enjoyment!”

I have had the great joy of knowing Angie for several years.  I am delighted that she has chosen to take the journey to become a yoga teacher. She has a kind and gentle spirit with a real gift for leading and teaching her students about the joys of yoga.  She is already a wonderful teacher and I know she will only get better as she continues her studies and training. Namaste Angie!

Red Elephant Yoga is growing and I could not be happier. After four years of study with Charlotte in the evening class, I welcomed the opportunity to join a mid-day class with Angie Kimbel. What a lovely way to refresh and renew oneself. Out of the daily hubbub and into a place where I can relax and release my muscles from everyday tensions. I leave the class calmer and ready to tackle the rest of the day. Angie has thoughtful concern for each student's well being and knack for finding where you need to focus to make the pose a little deeper, a little easier. Angie is a wonderful addition to the Red Elephant Yoga staff and I look forward to many more opportunities to study with her.
